Brent Schindler This has triggered mom's (Colleen Jenson Schindler's)  memory. She says the girl on the left is her -- riding Josephine. Joe in the middle and Aunt Ann on the right on Lena.

Brent Schindler said:  The rider on the left is my mother Colleen on Josephine.   Philip in the middle and Joe on the right riding Lady Bird.  She thinks that this is in the Fairy Hills in Bear Lake. Mom wants me to tell all of you how pleased her family was that Joe was able to enjoy Lady Bird.  The horse on the far left would be Lena.
Mother also wants me to tell you what hard workers Phil and Joe were.  They both worked very hard on their ranch.

This is definitely the old Jenson farm house (which is still standing). The building at the bottom of the hill is the old chicken coop. Colleen Jenson Schindler thinks that the man by the wagon might be her dad. The walking man may be her brother Bill.

Brent Schindler said "Mom is telling me about the time at Thanksgiving when Mom and Aunt Ann went to the area around the old ranch house to get aThanksgiving goose. Uncle Andy D and Joe Koeven left before the girls and took a short cut so they could get there before the girls. They hid in this old house with a lantern in the upstairs. This scared the girls who raced back to the new house on the highway. (Mom was wanting to hide behind the grainery to let Aunt Ann save herself by racing back to the house on the highway. Aunt Ann insisted that they both ride the horse back. The horse was Old Lad.) They were met by Grandma Jenson who said that she "had told those boys not to do that!" This is when Mom and Uncle Andy were in college; Joe and Ann were in high school."

Mary Steck said "I remember exploring that house once or twice. I found the cutest valentine that Wyvonne had made for Aunt Florence, and I took it, all excited, to Aunt Florence, but it made her cry. I've learned sometimes it's hard to see our kids grow up and move on with their lives."

P Jarvis Koeven said "At age 11 I would ride from Logan to Bennington with Bill and Ruth Ann. They were going to college at Utah State, and would travel home to work on the ranch on the week end. Bill and Ruth Ann's house was just slightly North and slightly West of Uncle Andy and Aunt Florence's house near the highway. After milking the cows and feeding the cows and calves, at the home part of the ranch, we would hitch up the team of horses to the sleigh. We would then pick up some grain and ride the sleigh to the West, to the main part of the ranch where we would feed the cattle there. The picture is of the old ranch house on the West part of the ranch where the cattle and milking parlor were. The house was long gone before I was there, or maybe I just didn't remember or recognize it. I worked there during that whole summer helping milk the cows and haying. On the ranch, Uncle Andy had a generator in the milk parlor to run the equipment, as there was no power line down there. Uncle Andy named each of his cows, such as Cashus Clay (Mohamed Alley), swivel hip, daisy, and such. He had very colorful language when ever he got kicked or something didn't go just how he wanted it to go. Aunt Florence always had breakfast ready before we went to work, and you were expected to finish your meal, what ever she fixed, or you would be facing it next meal. I only made that mistake once. Sorry I have been rambling on, but so went the year 1965."
