Rachel Hannah Kunz Koeven

Sheila Meservy wrote "Yes this was our house in Georgetown. After Dad lost the dry farm, and the nice home, we had to move into an old log house that belonged to J.L. Kovene -grandma. After a few years, Dad moved a granary that was down in a pasture up near the road, and we lived in it, while he built the rest of the house onto it (around the granary). On the far right side of the house, you can see the line (beside the windows) that was where the granary ended. Mom planted some beautiful peonies which we loved, along the front of the house. We had no lawn-only dirt."

Brent Schindler This brought back a lot of memories for my Mom. She has been in this home many times. She remembers how smart Aunt Rachel was. Once my mom mentioned that she couldn't find a swim suit to wear for her swimming class -- so Aunt Rachel made her a swim suit from remnants. Aunt Rachel lived in the 4th Ward. Theodore Burton (who was a general authority) was the Bishop. He asked Aunt Rachel to speak in church which she did. The talk was so good that people never stopped talking about it!
